The Personalisation Network
The Personalisation Network provides a platform to support organisations to transform and develop personalised adult social care.
On 10 December 2007, the Government published the landmark ministerial concordat "Putting People First: A shared vision and commitment to the transformation of Adult Social Care". The concordat established a collaboration between central and local government, the sector's professional leadership, providers and the regulator and sets out the shared aims and values that will guide the transformation of adult social care.
The concordat was followed on 17 January 2008 by the Local Authority Circular LAC (DH)(2008)1: "Transforming social care", which sets out information to support the transformation of social care, describes the vision for development of a personalised approach to the delivery of adult social care and gives details of the Social Care Reform Grant Determination and the details of the new ring-fenced grant to help councils to redesign and reshape their systems over the next 3 years.
The Personalisation Network provides a platform to support organisations to transform and develop personalised adult social care. Over the coming months we will be making a wide variety of materials available here to support this important initiative. Already available in an almost finished form is the Personalisation Toolkit, that combines the lessons learnt from the Individual Budgets pilot and from in Control. More information >
Please register with the Personalisation Network to be notified when new materials are available on the site, to keep abreast of news and discuss this exciting new agenda with colleagues.
